And Time Goes By So Slowly

I am having a hard time keeping track of days. They just sort of run together in a blur of campfire smoke. The only thing that has somewhat kept me on track is the schedule of volunteers who have signed up to help hold our spot in Line. My amazing, talented, and generous sister organized everyone and put together this schedule:

Monday 11/7: Afternoon: Jenny
Tuesday 11/8: 9am-12pm: Bob, 12pm-?: Tammie
Wednesday 11/9: 6:30pm-8:30am Thurs: Jon
Thursday 11/10:
Friday 11/11:9am-12pm: Mary Beth, 6pm-9pm: Linda
Saturday 11/12: 7am-9am: Dan & Margaret, 9am-12pm: Jenny, 12pm-3pm: Liz
Sunday 11/13: 1pm-4pm: Tammie, 4-6pm: Tom and Roni
Monday 11/14: 9am-5pm: Lloyd
Tuesday 11/15: 9am-12pm: Bob
My days in Line are distinguished one from the next by who is coming by to relieve me or Timm and when. And by the weather. The vastly different temperatures and conditions we have experienced these last several days has made the Line rather exciting. But one of the most fun and surprising things that make each day different is the food.
ok, so this isn't the most flattering photo... it's just evidence of awesome food being prepared for us in Line!
Local restaurants have rallied in support of us crazy and devoted (dare I say, downright badass) parents to make sure we are well fed. As my way to say thank you to them, I encourage you to check these places out and give them your business! They are all fantastic and I will definitely be taking my business to them in the future (though this is not a complete list, this is only the ones I can remember off the top of my head)!
Christys and Lenhardts Biergarten
 Mac's Pizza Pub

 Ambar India

The PTA and other school organizations and individuals have come through to make sure that no one in Line wants for a meal or snack or drink. All to make sure that we know we are welcomed to the school with open arms.
I have said it to more than a few people, but I'll say it again: it'll take us 10 days and we'll pack on 10 pounds just to be able to get our kids into school! Yeah, this wait in line is sheer torture ;)
