chubbables

i've been thinking a lot lately about the cute things iris says and how she says them, and i want to remember them... so here's a few for now:
-"chubbables" = vegetables ("i love chubbables!" LOL)
-"row, row, row your boat, gently down the drain.  mary, mary, mary, mary had a little lamb." = iris' version of row row row your boat
-"soicle crackers" = ritz crackers... she's got a bit of a jersey accent when she says "circle"

i've recently driven myself slightly insane with the idea of "redoing" our living room.  dave ramsey would click his tongue and shake his head with criticism of this choice, but i'm in love with the idea of having an actual set of furniture that actually goes together!  if only someone would buy our gigantic entertainment center...

i'm excited that asher seemed to master the art of sippy cup drinking today.  at least, he sucked on the spout (which is more than he will do with a bottle- he generally just chews on those!) and i think he swallowed at least a little bit.  a lot ended up dribbling out of his mouth, but still, this is a promising milestone... that maybe he'll be able to stay in the care of someone else for more than 2 hours???  bah, who am i kidding... we are still a long way off from that.  it's flattering that someone thinks i'm the coolest thing ever, but it's kind of a drag for anyone else who has to take care of the kid!
