Moving right along

Iris' new room is taking shape. She now has her big twin bed in place. It occurred to me that last night she'd been sleeping on the same mattress since she was a newborn. She just keeps growing up. Which is a good thing. But I wish she'd slow it down a bit.
Her first day of school was yesterday. She couldn't wait to go! Timm, Asher, and I walked in with her, but she led the way a good 10 feet in front of us. Soon she'll be wanting us to drop her off a block away so she doesn't have to be seen with us. Or have me embarrass her by following her around with my camera.

While she was at school, Timm and Asher put her daybed together. I thought she'd be surprised and pleased to have it all set up when she got home. I was wrong. She was disappointed that she didn't get to help with the assembly. She may want a princess room, but she still likes to get her hands dirty!
I love this girl.
